Springtime denim!

This pair of denim takes inspiration from the "Uguisu" AKA the Japanese bush warbler - a small green bird native to Japan. In Japanese culture, this bird symbolises the end of winter and the return of spring with its associated feelings of hope and revival. With this in mind, Samurai has crafted a truly one-of-a-kind green denim in a hefty 17oz left-hand twill fabric for you to enjoy!

This pair is constructed with Samurai's specially developed 17oz green selvedge ID lefthand twill denim made from a 100% cotton blend from America, Australia and Brazil. Slowly woven on vintage machines, this fabric has an incredibly slubby texture that is still soft and comfortable for daily wear! Thanks to the yarn-dyeing process and the LHT properties, you can expect to see some high contrast fading with wear and washing with a strong vertical texture appearing more and more!

As expected of Samurai, this pair features many beautiful details including a custom ultra-thick cowhide leather patch with the Uguisu bird design, custom embossed buttons and rivets and tonal green chain stitching for ultra-durable wear! The pocket bags are constructed with Samurai's heavyweight jacquard fabric. With time, this pattern will become more pronounced with wear!

These tees are constructed with Samurai's signature heavyweight 8.5oz loopwheel fabric. Slowly woven using vintage machines, this fabric has a substantial, super-soft feel with a mildly irregular texture! With time, the sulphur-dyed colourway will age to a soulful vintage look! Samurai’s printing technique is super skilful! If you look closely, you can see the crisp level of detail and lettering that features varying levels of tone that will develop a gorgeous marbled look with wear.

The shirts are constructed with lightweight cotton back satin fabric slowly woven from a vintage machine. They have a silky smooth touch and are perfect for summer! Year of the dragon!

The dragon is considered the most auspicious of the zodiac symbols. To commemorate the year of the dragon, Samurai has released this truly special, limited edition run in their best-selling 21oz heavyweight denim!

The 21oz denim has been slowly woven using vintage machines specially engineered to handle this ultra-heavyweight denim. The surface is surprisingly super smooth and has a subtle raised feeling. Thanks to the grand indigo yarn dyeing process repeated many times you will see amazingly strong fades like the slash marks of a sharp samurai blade! The real magic is in the details which include a sakura-red and silver-lame selvedge I.D that glimmers like the glint of a samurai blade about to strike!

In honour of the year of the dragon, this pair features emerald green stitching, a custom goatskin leather patch and gold-plated iron buttons. Samurai has used silky smooth cotton twill for the pockets - the same fabric used for their printed aloha shirts! Cuff up the denim to reveal Samurai's signature "blood & silver" selvedge I.D.!

This utility bag is constructed with Samurai's many different leftover fabrics. It contains many types of denim, selvage chinos, hickory, and cotton drills!

Finished by the skilful craftsman who works for Samurai's repair studio, using the traditional Japanese 'BORO repairing technique' techniques to make this utility bag its unique textured look!

Two tote bags from Samurai, exclusively made for Samurai's Osaka grand store and overseas market, tese purely hand-made denim tote bags will last forever for you till they totally fades out!

The first is constructed with their signature 15oz "Otokogi" nep denim. Slowly woven on vintage machines, this 15oz denim features an irregular neppy textured surface with a scattered dotted look. Made using short and crispy cotton fibres from Texas and dyed using genuine indigo, this pair will age beautifully with some strong sky-blue indigo contrast!

The second is constructed with their signature 17oz 'bushido' black denim. Slowly using vintage machines to produce a unique irregular vertical textured denim with exaggerated white dots! The warp has been black sulphur yarn-dyed to produce a deep Sumi-black colour. With time, this colourway will age to a beautiful high-contrast black-and-white look, just like your favourite pair of indigo jeans!

Both feature the same lining, using Samurai's medium-weight jacquard knitting fabric, With time, the dye will transfer onto the lining, making the design appear even more 3-dimensional! 

In the name of legendary Samurai -- Maeda Toshiie, This is the 25oz denim made for Samurai's 25th Anniversary Limited Collection!

Maeda Toshiie was a legendary warrior, one of the leading generals of Oda Nobunaga following the Sengoku period of the 16th century extending to the Azuchi–Momoyama period. His preferred weapon was a yari and he was known as "Yari no Mataza" (槍の又左). Considered a 'Battle God' in ancient Japanese history!

Constructed with Samurai's signature ultra-heavyweight 25oz slevage denim, this 25oz denim is so appropriate! The surface is surprisingly, super smooth and has a subtle raised feeling because it is made of high-grade cotton. Thanks to the many, many, MANY shades of grand indigo dyed into the cotton fibres, you will see amazingly strong fades like the slash marks of a sharp samurai blade. The selvage ID features shining gold flakes just like the finest Katanas...

In honour of the 25th limited edition denim, this pair of 25oz denim comes with a 24k gold printed goatskin leather patch, the arc-stitching is finished with gold and silver mixed cotton threads, and the inner pockets and the lining of back pockets are finished with silky smooth, red-coloured Japanese lightweight herringbone twill. There are even many more little special details attributed to this pair of limited edition denim such as an 'Upside-Down-A' red tag etc need you to dig them out!

Inspired by the late 50s vintage worker jacket, usually worn by motor engineers, Samurai re-creates the design and makes it even better!

This jacket is constructed with its specially developed 12oz herringbone twill, slowly woven from the vintage machine which has amazing uneven textures and a smooth touch.

For the indigo version, Samurai uses unbleached cotton, the grand indigo is thread-dyed. In brand new condition, it looks more rugged style. With wear and wash, it will age to a higher-contrasted look like its raw denim!

For the oatmeal colour, Samurai uses unbleached cotton, the colour is sulphur thread-dyed. In brand new condition, it looks more rugged style. With wear and wash, it will age to a whiter tone and a more soulful look!

Design-wise, this jacket has adjustable cuffs and waist for different layers in different seasons! The slightly wider collar design gives it a more elegant look!

Spirit of Nippon!

This "Torii Embroidery" design is inspired by the most famous Torii, a traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine and combined with the Rising Sun and Mountain. Fuji elements represent the Spirit of Japanese so well!
