Studio D'Artisan Sumi Dyed 'Stormy Rider' Sashiko Jacket

Storm's a-comin'!

What better way to layer up than with SDA's latest Sumi Sashiko 'Storm Rider jacket? Based on the classic Lee design from 1949, SDA has redesigned this jacket to be even better!

SDA have chosen a heavyweight sashiko fabric that has been slowly woven on vintage machines using traditional techniques, resulting in a 3-dimensional texture like no other! As part of their latest range featuring traditional Japanese dyes, this fabric is overdyed using Sumi dye, traditionally used in calligraphy and ink-wash painting. With time the chiaroscuro look will develop even further as it ages to a soulful look!

For heat insulation and comfort, SDA has chosen mixed woollen blanket lining, which has been yarn-dyed to look exactly like the original Storm Rider jacket! The custom SDA iron buttons have also been sumi-overdyed and will chip age to a faded vintage look with time! Urea waist button adjusters allow you to get the perfect fit!

Fitting-wise, SDA have redesigned the original boxier pattern to make it more slim fitting for a modern look!

If you are looking for an amazing Storm Rider jacket with traditional Japanese dyeing techniques then SDA could be the best choice!
