About Amami Oshima Mud Dyed:

Amami Oshima is a small island in Japan, also called as “Mud Island”. In Amami Oshima, the mud has rich iron element, the skilled craftsman can dye the garment with specially developed Amani Oshima’s mud by hand. The mud dyed garments will have a rich earthy brown colour which looks very unique compared with others. This ancient mud dyeing method has been  well-used over hundreds of years in Japan with pride!

With time, the dye will age to a soulful, used look. Great for a vintage vibe!

Many get ‘hooked’ on the loopwheel and for good reason. SDA are taking it to the next level.

Slowly made using vintage loop-wheel machines , this 12oz fabric feels flexible and durable. Coloured using Amami Oshima mud，hand dyed, the threads have a rich deep brown colour. Enjoy the vintage ageing look with time.

The internal side feels super soft and has a short length brushed texture, perfect for keeping you cosy and warm without that ‘itchy’ feeling. For added comfort, the ribbed collar, v insert and cuffs have been made using a vintage jacquard machines.
