When talking about the best quality leather goods, there ain't no better than The Flat head! When we first received their first batch of shell cordovan card cases we thought it was pretty much perfect!! Now we have the NEW and DEVELOPED version which is better than ever!!

This is the latest version of the Shell Cordovan Welted Card Case. TFH choose their leather very meticulously, they only use the best, flawless, 'high density' shell cordovan from Japan. This shell cordovan is like no other, it is extremely durable and treated with TFH's special vegetable tanning process . TFH is the only company who have this special process. We can't even define how they do this process so we CORL it "The Flat Head Dyeing method"!!

TFH always want to make their goods lifetime products and are committed to making the best products. Using this special cordovan on the outside of the case allows it to strongly hold its shape after long time use. The entire case has been hand sewn by the best leather artisans in the world, they use a special flexible waxed thread which allows the case to open and close without any creasing. To re-enforce and double the strength of the outer edge a special horsehide welt has been double stitched on the edge. The inner card slot and compartment also use the special cordovan! This time TFH have changed the lining material of the case, slot and compartment, now they use same horsehide used for the outer welt!

We saw this beautiful piece from R.J.B by The Flat Head's exhibition show last year and we were amazed and bring in this SPECIAL EDITION exclusive for Corlection store. To make it more suitable for Australian market, we adjust the fit which most of you guys will love it.

The most incredible part of this jacket is the wool fabric. It is special developed by the R.J.B team which is the premium line of TFH. The wool is super soft and smooth but it keeps you super warm in the winter. The texture feels like cashmere! Also, through a long time in use, you won't expect the wool fur ball which appears for most of the normal wool product.

The details of this jacket is incredible as well. The cuffs and hem has been trimmed with top grade lamb skin, so you don't need to worry about them goes out of shape ever. Not to mention that the sheep skin will aged beautifully through time. The interior goes with the R.J.B's classic "Diamond" shape rayon lining, slick and soft, and the Grey color makes a nice contrast with the shell.

The Flat head makes some of the best leather products in the world, If you are looking for a leather jacket this deer skin jacket is the best of the best!

These jackets are constructed by some of the best Japanese craftsman in the world. There are only 4-5 craftsman inside FH's Stockburg factory who are able to create these masterpieces. It can take up to two days for the craftsman to finish one jacket. The deerskin used on these jackets is originally from America and tanned for three months in Japan. To begin the process the deerskin is tanned for two months, then tanned for another month to achieve the rich black colour. Initially the jacket will have a matte finish but after wear the surface will become shiny and develop a richer black colour. After 4-5 years the beautiful natural tan colour will gradually appear throughout the jacket. The 1.3mm deerskin that FH uses is much thicker, stronger and even softer than other companies. We think that this deerskin is even more comfortable than sheepskin!

Key parts of these jackets are hand sewn which makes the jacket extremely strong and able to retain its original shape throughout its life. This is a very difficult process which takes a significant amount of time and skill to complete. The jacket is lined with a silky textured rayon fabric which is extremely smooth and comfortable.

We could speak about The Flat Head wallets all day, as we have said before we think these could be the best of the best MIJ wallets. 

The cowhide leather has a very special sheen similar to English bridle leather but much smother and flexible. After 2-3 years the unique natural colour will appear in the leather. The tanning process is quite complex, the cowhide leather is initially vegetable tanned for 2 months. Afterwards the leather is then tanned for 1 month to add the rich colour, this is a special process by TFH. When they use the tanning method to add colour to the leather they do not remove the original sheen. This is very different to other brands who use the colour dyed method.

The wallets are completely hand sewn by extremely skilled artisans. When they sew the outer to the inner they vary the thread tension too allow the wallet to fold with ease. The wallet is lined with pigskin which is very smooth and flexible. This prevents creases from forming on the outside of the wallet. The silver components have been first hammed to remove air which makes the silver denser. The Concho button has been skilfully hand engraved and the attachment ring has been hand hammed . The ring also has special texture on the surface which we like to call 'moon surface'.

After a discussion with TFH, they make this special edition that exclusive available for Corlection. The Jacket has a plain and clean design for the front and featured flocking "The Flat Head" logo and old school style embroidery "Racing Team" slogan. This kind of old school style embroidery required highest skill craftsman to do it by hand little by little so the graphic can be solid and perfect with charm like a nice hand drawing or a beautiful tattoo. The blended wool is super smooth and warm to wear. Not to mention that full grain cowhide leather will aged and appear more special sheen with wears. Here is The Flat Head x CoRLection "Nihon CoRLing" badges. At the first glance you might think that this is just a piece, but the sheen and the texture is very unique. Because of the fabric and the embroidery yarns are made from 88% cotton and 12% silk. The fabric is loomed from vintage shuttle so it is assured that the fabric is weaved tight, and the material used enhances the levelling of the fabric so it has such an stereoscopic appearance. The embroidery is also done by vintage machines using over dyed yarns to make it strong and has a special texture and pattern. You can see the patterns has a slight offset from needle to needle but at the same time, the offset is in the small margin so it appears more powerful than a nice and smooth embroidery. The embroidery will also age nicely because they are over dyed and they come in two colour ways: Navy x Blood and Black x Gold.

The Flat Head bring us their newest wallet cords collection. Using solid Japanese vegetable tan cowhide leathers together with double ended hooks. We bring in two color way for you guys. The black colorway has been through black uneven dyed process which will aged gradually to appear original tan color. And the original tan color leather will aged gradually through time as well.The brass hooks have been carefully polished and through time, they will age nicely.
