MOMOTARO 7OZ 'BATTLE OF ONIGASHIMA' TUBULAR TEES
That historical moment has been captured!
Back in 2006, the Momotaro denim was introduced to the world. The concept for this tee resembles the brand's vision of Momotaro aka Peach Boy coming to a truce with his ultimate foe, Oni. This relationship is from the perspective of Momotaro is how they believe they should the denim world in a peaceful state.
The front side features a playful interpretation of how this truce took place. Looks like Oni demon and Momotaro get along now!
Onto the backside you can see are a more traditional interpretation of the relationship before the truce took place. Peep the two characters in action.
As one of the signature designs since the beginning, this tee features their 'Going to Battle' stripes on the sleeve. This design is featured in folklore stories of Momotaro holding war banners during battle.

When you first feel this one in person the amazingly soft cotton flannel is smooth against the skin and keeps you cosy.
Made using vintage weaving machines, the alternating herringbone pattern is woven instead of printed. With time the pattern will maintain it's contrast. The overdyed threads will gradually fade to a softer tone with a soulful look.
