FREEWHEELERS WINTER DECK JACKET (OVERSEAS EDITION)
The pinnacle of deck jackets for your deep winter comfort!
This style is famous among vintage collectors as one of the most sought after USN deck jacket models from around 1930~. This style was worn by USN staff for the ultimate protection at sea!
For that outer shell, FW has used their signature heavyweight jungle cloth. It's densely woven from cotton fibres and has been paraffin treated for weatherproofing. With long term wear, you'll gradually see a more vintage tone reveal itself as the thread dyed navy colour fades. This is the best jungle cloth we've come across, no joke! The inner lining is made up of a long-fibred alpaca pile, which is seriously warm! To add even more weather protection, there's a thick layer of cotton flannel fabric in between the shell and the inner lining.
With curved front pockets, your hands will stay cosy and dry at all times! With many reinforcement stitches and extra heavy cotton threads used for the construction, this is perfect for daily wear and heavy weather conditions. The large-sized vintage style front zip is typical for this style and keeps the wind out. The collar, cuffs and bottom hem all feature vintage machine knit ribbing that will keep you warm and stay comfortable against the skin.
If you're after some of the best outerwear for the winter season, this is it! No doubt, a serious piece for your collection.

To start, this classic style is inspired by the US NAVY jackets of 1928. Out of their creativity, the Navy men customised their jackets and birthed the SQUADRON design!

Now onto the SQUADRON detailing; the front side features vintage machine embroidery. Look at the raised and scattered texture which looks just like a skilfully painted artwork! The backside features a full-width print made with extra thick, crackled ink which gives off a vintage vibe.

The surface will also develop much less pilling than typical wool jackets thanks to their unique processing.
For extra warmth and comfort, the lining is made of lightweight, silky cotton moleskin which is specially developed by Freewheelers.
A typical detail of USN jackets is the elasticated finishings. This one features a vintage machine, cotton/wool blended woven cuffs, bottom hem and collar. This allows you to maintain warmth and prevent any cold wind from getting in! Perfect for those harsh conditions outdoors.

A blend of vintage army practicality with the perfection of FW's execution to create modern garments!
This design may look familiar to those hardcore army collectors! It is a combination of army shirt designs from the 1940s. FW took the liberty as always to enhance these classic designs to another level.
The front chest pocket design features a symmetrical pattern with a subtle diagonal angle to make up for a more flattering look when worn. Use the dual large-sized pencil pockets for things like keys or perhaps a cigar for the post-battle smoke!
Using extra-large urea buttons makes up for a seriously durable shirt long term and will ensure the placket stays fastened in any situation. The cuffs also feature additional buttons for you to adjust at will!

Freewheelers "Rebels" Horsehide Sports Jacket (Blackjack)
Yet again, another incredible jacket with the FW standard of craftsmanship!
When thinking back to classic riding sports jackets an asymmetrical design comes to mind, but rarely do we see such a tasteful single-riders jackets. This design takes inspiration from the 1930s~ style worn by the motorcycle rebels of the USA.
The simple single front design features a ''WHIZZER'' zip, a typical style of jackets from the 1930s, and uses a pin-locking slide so there's no unexpected un-fastening. The single outer chest pocket has an aggressive diagonal shape which gives off a striking look and also features a 'WHIZZER' ball chain zip!
As for the lower waist pockets, the diagonal direction is continued and features an extra sturdy welt style pocket opening.
Change it to suit your preference; you can adjust the cuff openings and lower back using the roller buckles. The backside also features a darted pattern for a more three-dimensional shape, inspired by vintage designs to enhance comfort in motorcycle riding positions.
If the weather drops fast, you can always flip up the collar for substantial wind protection, thanks to the curved collar shape.
Now, onto that amazing horsehide specially developed by Freewheelers! This is the new 'BLACK JACK' colourway, which uses a 1.3mm thick hide with a thick top black coloured dye which allows the inner core to gain a rich dark brown shade that will eventually reveal itself in areas of wear.
To keep you cosy and warm, this jacket is fully lined with FW's iconic cotton flannel fabric. To reduce friction with wear, FW applied a brushing process to the sleeves lining so it's always extra smooth!
For those who have never seen this standard of leather jacket, we guarantee this will be a pleasurable journey!

FREEWHEELERS "POINTER" OUTDOOR STYLE FIELD JACKET
Here's your trusty companion for the next encounter with the harsh weather!
When talking about classic hunting gear, the outdoor field jacket is it! The olive green colourway is a signature of this style and has been brought to a new, incredible standard by FW.
Inspired by the functionality of the nylon jackets of the 60's to 80's, this jacket features a specially developed waterproof & windproof fabric, with amazing sheen. This surface is slippery smooth! Thanks to the dying and weaving method, the surface has an irregular streaky vertical texture. With time this will become enhanced when worn in daily life.
For more protection from the elements, the sleeves are layered with a dense horizontal textured nylon fabric that'll keep out the wind and rain.
For the ultimate weather protection, this has so many specially designed details to keep you cosy. The storm flap front closure features an extra-large, double universal zip so you can always adjust your style. The flap also features an extra, third flap, unlike typical storm flaps with two layers of protection. The extra heavy-duty snaps will keep the flap closed and the warmth in! Contrasting nicely against the olive green, FW used extra large wooden buttons.
As for the pockets, the lower waist pockets are extra-large, flannel lined and go 'two-ways' for storage and hand-warming purposes. For those extra important gears like a passport or wallet, you can use the welt chest pocket with universal zip. There's also a hook for storing those keys!
Now onto the incredible internal lining; this one features an adjustable inner layer, almost like having another jacket underneath for extra warmth and comfort. The many air holes keep things breathable.

The collar strap is great for keeping cosy in the windy weather and makes up for an elegant workwear look.
The curved cuffs and bottom hem add a refined feeling to the silhouette, again FWs are taking this into classic design into their world.
The extra-large buttons are much heavier than typical shirts and feature engraved anchor detailing. These will keep the front closure secure thanks to their thickness.

FREEWHEELERS INDIGO WABASH "LONGSHOREMAN" TROUSERS (MODERN STRAIGHT FIT)
FW 'worker' pants ain't like any other!
In the 1900s~ workers of the USA looked for quality workwear made of the 'STIFEL' fabric! This design with an alternating back pocket design, a re-inforced tool pocket and rectangular front pockets was worn by the dockworkers.
For added comfort, you can adjust the rear cinch back for the perfect fit. The waistband is also lined with an indigo hickory fabric for durability.
FW has taken this famous Wabash fabrication recipe to another level with denim weaving techniques.
This is a selvage fabric made from indigo-dyed threads, meaning that with time, you’ll see many shades of indigo fading up, unlike typical over-dying techniques. Check the pockets and waist
As for the Wabash pattern itself, they’ve applied two layers, an irregular beige dot with light burgundy speckles on top. This gives the overall pattern so much depth and looks nothing like any other Wabash. For added character, the backside of the fabric features a skilfully printed ‘STIFUL’ logo mark inspired by the legendary US fabric company.

FREEWHEELERS 37J1 'AVIATOR' HORSEHIDE JACKET (TATANKA BROWN)
FW standards just keep on flying higher and higher!
When talking about vintage aviator style jackets there's one that stands out! This one takes inspiration from the US military contractor (Leather Togs MFG.Co.) from 1927. Originally this style was made with sheepskin due to available materials of the past era but FW has taken this one to their standards by using their own specially developed horsehide. This style is the icon of classic aviation jackets before the famous A1.
FW exclusively used Shinki leathers for this piece and specially developed the production-run to their exact taste! The 1.2mm thick horsehide is veggie tanned from raw hides which yields a unique texture with so much more depth than typical aviator leather jackets that have a flat brown colourway. You can see that the surface has a subtle sheen with many shades of deep burgundy-brown.
Timeless details like the waist pockets have been re-fined to FW perfection. Looking closely you can see that the shapes are slightly curved for a unique look unlike the plain, straighter shapes of the vintage versions. This level of accuracy is incredible and can only be executed by some of Japan's best artisans.
For those who may not know, making leather jackets with buttons to a high-end standard is extremely difficult. The buttonholes must be skilfully sewn with a curved opening that maintains shape for life whilst having an elegant appearance. Each heavy nut button is sewn with a reinforcement button on the reverse side and all snaps feature leather reinforcements for durability.
The internal lining is made up of a mid-weight moleskin fabric created with waxy cotton for a smooth silky feeling. This is much more breathable than polyester or nylon linings and adds additional warmth.
The collar features an additional snap for keeping your neck warm. All openings feature vintage machine woven ribbing that's durable and keeps the wind out!
For the best of the aviation gears of the past, this is it. If you have never tried any of FW's leather jackets we guarantee you will be impressed with their passion for crafting some of the BEST leather jackets in Japan!
