To make this material to another level, BON' have created a heavyweight corduroy with extra-large ridges and a silky smooth surface without a 'scratchy' feeling. They use full-grain natural cotton to make up a beautiful sheen. It takes 6-9 months to bring from raw materials to the final fabric, from a vintage machine.

An extra heavy deerskin patch has been used for the brand tag. When felt in hand you can see the depth of the grain and natural sheen shine out. This kind of deerskin grade is typically used for leather jackets and is very rare. With engraved and curved iron buttons, the closures have a classic yet elegant appearance. The wait pockets and perfect to keep your hands cosy and feature natural cotton herringbone twill fabric.

As one of the most serious Made in Japan brands, Boncoura takes their fabrication and construction to the next level each season.

Specially developed by Boncoura, this season they've made the weight to 7.5oz. Now, more densely woven, the surface is incredibly soft and has a substantial yet delicate feeling. As for the dying, Boncoura uses thread dying with various hues to achieve a deep heather pattern that will show more variation with time.

The specially developed 12oz denim has an incredible smooth weft making it easy to wear during work. The grand indigo-dyed cotton thread will allow this one to fade to a highly contrasted look with use. Many of you will be familiar with the classic N-1 Deck jacket. It's a famous, classic style worn by the US Navy personnel during WW2. Since it has influenced modern fashion and become an icon for practicality and warmth.

Boncoura has taken this to another level, unfamiliar from 'VINTAGE' that is now in another high-end category. Bon' has re-imagined this design with a shorter vertical length to make for a more practical fit with a hooded design.

The outer shell is specially developed by Boncoura. Despite being already Once Washed, the jungle cloth shell still maintains a beautiful sheen. It's very smooth thanks to its midweight and is very comfortable compared to vintage examples of jungle cloth. This jungle cloth is densely woven and thread dyed, meaning with long term use, you will see soft contrast and more shades of colour revealed.

The lining is another beautiful execution from Bon'. The lining is made from pure alpaca wool which has been filtered from any short or mid-length fibres... meaning the result is the TOP alpaca wool fibres that are long, soft and comfortable. It feels very comfortable against the skin with ZERO irritation. If you have tried alpaca wool before and felt agitated, rest assured this is totally different.

The simplified design for the front waist pockets is tasteful and will keep you cosy. The washable cowhide trims make for a more comfortable wearing experience and it also increases durability over long time usage. The two way, extra heavy brass zip is perfect for getting the right fit depending on the weather.

As new contenders in the 'heirloom standard' leather jacket game, Boncoura has brought some serious heat with their Cowhide Suede Type 3 Jacket!

Conventional wisdom says that vegetable tanning is the method of choice for premium leather products. However, in Japan, many different tanning methods are utilized to impart different qualities in the leather, including vegetable tanning, chrome tanning, oil tanning and salt tanning etc. Morishima-San, the boss and creative visionary of Boncoura believes that by using a combination of tanning methods, Boncoura can create luxury leather products that are sure to mature and develop into even more beautiful garments that you can wear and age for many decades!

The tanning process for this suede jacket uses a multi-method process. First, the leather is vegetable tanned then chrome-tanned, while the final step involves a secret process known only to the brand!
Premium rawhide leathers are selected and preserved with minimal dyeing to showcase the natural beauty and imperfections of the hide!
The final result combines an outer texture that resembles thick roughout leather, while the inner's texture looks and feels like premium deerskin!

For extra water resistance, a special water-proofing liquid is applied during the tanning process to reduce natural discolouration to the leather from water damage and general wear!

The fitting replicates Boncoura's denim type 3 denim, with an elegant slim-fitting silhouette!
