This shirt takes inspiration from US Army officer's utility shirts from the late 1950s. UG has improved the fitting and used better materials to give it a high-end look!

This specially developed 14oz selvage herringbone twill is slowly woven using a re-constructed vintage denim machine. This results in some very unique uneven textures and a smooth touch after soaking or washing. The straw colour comes from unbleached cotton that looks pretty rugged in brand-new condition. With wear and wash, the colour will turn a shade whiter and the texture will become more enhanced - something that you might never have experienced before!

Originally, the vintage officer utility shirt used only lightweight material, however, we wanted to create a jacketed shirt with a heavyweight material so they asked the best of the best Japanese craftsman to use Jacket-Standard-Construction to finish this jacketed shirt! The iron buttons that we use to construct this jacket are the same as they use for our denim jackets, and the heavyweight chain-stitching for the body construction ensures this shirt will last over decades of wear.
