The Flat Head 'Ultimate' Horsehide 40s Single Riders Jacket (Brown Tea-cored)

Talking about some of the best ‘Made In Japan' leather jackets, you can not ignore The Flat Head! Their latest version of the single-riders jacket is inspired by the original 1940s vintage models and made to an even higher standard by their highly skilled craftsmen in their famous Stockburg leather studio!

The shell is made of a 1.3mm thick racing horsehide that is developed by Japan's most famous leather tannery, Shinki, specifically for The Flat Head! It takes 4 ~ 6 months for Shinki to complete the vegetable tanning process and brown uneven dyeing (a.k.a brown Tea-core dyeing) utilised for this leather. With wear, you will expect a beautiful sheen and some reddish-brown to emerge little by little from beneath the top layer of dye.

This jacket is lined with their signature lightweight kersey rayon, which is made up of bamboo fibre. The material is antibacterial and also makes this horsehide jacket more breathable on warm days!

Construction-wise, this jacket is finished in their 'Stockburg' leather studio. Renowned for their skilful 'Leather Piping Construction', the studio have employed this technique in the construction of the back yoke of this jacket, providing extra strength. The back has twin iron buckles that allow you to adjust for different styling and layering in different seasons! The buckles are painted with brass, and with wear, you can expect both buckles to age to a crackled vintage look.

Fitting-wise, compared with the 1940s vintage versions, the sleeves are slimmer and shorter, and the body shape is more curved which fits perfectly for a modern fashionable look!

For those who are looking for an 'Only The Best' single-riders horsehide jacket, we guarantee this will amaze you!
