Studio D'Artisan 16oz Kakishibu Dyed “Extreme-Slub” 45TH Anniversary Limited Type II Denim Jacket

“Traditional Kakishibu Dye!”

This 16oz brown selvedge ID ultra-slub denim was specially developed by SDA to celebrate Studio D’Artisan’s 45th anniversary. The warp is spun from No.6 thick cotton yarn, while the weft uses even thicker No.5 yarn. Woven slowly on vintage denim looms using traditional Japanese techniques, the fabric develops a rich, irregular “ancient cloth” texture.

The warp is yarn-dyed using traditional Japanese Kakishibu dyeing (also known as persimmon tannin dyeing), giving the denim a warm tone with rich brown hues, especially under sunlight. Over time, it will develop a high-contrast fade, revealing deeper shades of Kakishibu brown.

If you’re after a highly collectible Type II denim jacket from SDA, this is an ideal choice!
