Studio D'Artisan 14oz Indigo Dyed "Rain Kasuri" Type 1 Denim Jacket
Flow like water!
Talking about Kasuri Indigo, Studio D'Artisan could be the first brand we have known who has been promoting it over the years with many different types of Kasuri Indigo dyed products! This season, we are proud to offer you garments from their "Rainy Kasuri" collection!
An ancient indigo dyeing technique called Kasuri was developed from Ikat dyeing during the reign of the Ryukyu Kingdom around 1200AD. Today, we would love to introduce you to this 14oz "Rain" Kasuri Indigo Type 1 Denim Jacket from SDA!
This type 1 denim jacket is made with their specially developed 14oz Kasuri indigo-dyed denim. It is made of long-fibre, brownish hued African cotton and slowly woven from the vintage Toyoda G3 machine. This process gives it a beautiful irregular texture but also a smooth touch. The warp has been thread dyed with genuine indigo, being with time, it will age to a high-contrasted and soulful look. The pattern has been woven using undyed kasuri threads in a broken straight line to express the beautiful 'rain' motif!
Construction-wise, this denim jacket comes with a 'T-Back' vintage type 1 jacket design, and lightweight indigo-dyed chambray lined pocket flaps which are vintage-inspired with a modern twist! Speaking of details, this jacket features an ultra-thick cowhide patch with a custom design inspired by Hokusai's famous print The Bridge At Edo In The Rain. The iron buttons are black sulphur overdyed for some tasteful contrast. With time they will age to a soulful shinier look!
If you are looking for a simple and unique type 1 denim jacket, this could be an ideal choice!
