STUDIO D'ARTISAN 12OZ ”NORAGI“ SASHIKO WORKSHIRT (INDIGO)
Hundreds of years ago, when most Japanese wore cotton-made kimonos every day, they were valuable heirlooms that you can leave to your children and grandchildren. To maintain the quality of cotton-made kimonos over time, the Japanese developed their repairing technique and that is how ‘Nogari Sashiko' started! Today, we would love to introduce you to this lovely Nogari Sashiko work shirt from SDA!
This beautiful 12oz indigo thread-dyed Nogari sashiko is slowly woven from a vintage machine that comes with uneven textures. With time, you'll see this sashiko gradually fade to a lighter shade with many varieties of soft indigo shining out! You’ll feel this shirt becomes like a vintage Nogari sashiko worn over 100 years!
Thanks to the heavyweight sashiko, you can easily wear this one as a jacketed shirt in the warm season! For some tasteful contrast against the fading sashiko, the natural coconut buttons have been added and some beautiful sheen will appear with time!
