Similar in style to the USN deck jackets of the 1940s but with some unique details, the French military-inspired "Navigateur" jacket features premium materials and expert Japanese construction, making it the perfect companion for those cold winter days!
The outer shell of this jacket is constructed with SOC's specially developed 100% cotton heavyweight jungle cloth. Slowly woven using vintage machines, the surface has a subtly irregular texture with some vertical grain. The colourway is sulphur thread-dyed and will age to a soulful vintage look with wear, just like those worn by the French military in vintage photographs! The body, sleeves and hood of the jacket are lined with 100% wool pile. This lining is super-soft against the skin and provides next-level warmth for the cold winter days!
Speaking of construction, this jacket features a detachable hood so it can be worn two ways! The pockets and sleeve hems are finished with piping construction for extra comfort and durability. The double fastened storm flap with a vintage-style Waldes zip keeps out the cold air, while the large polished urea buttons add some tasteful tonal contrast. The cuffs feature the ribbed openings, constructed with vintage knitting machines to keep the wind out of your sleeves without feeling uncomfortably tight. The underarms feature metal eyelets to help regulate your inner temperature.
