SAMURAI 6.7OZ "DRUNKEN DUCK" LOOPWHEELED TEE (NAVY)
Samurai never fails to deliver with their latest run of classic graphic tees!
Taking inspiration from real historical events during the late Edo period, Samurai have brought this tale vividly to life with their playful recreation. The duck represents Serizawa Kamo, the famous samurai and leader of the Shinsengumi, while the wolves represent the rival faction within the Shinsengumi seeking to gain power.
Kamo, whose name means "duck" in Japanese, was widely known to be a heavy drinker, and the wolves seized this opportunity to strike him down!
In another way, the wolves represent the salarymen of modern Japan, hungrily devouring their dinner after many hours of hard work!
Slowly woven using vintage loopwheel machines, these tees have a super soft feel which will eventually age to a soulful look with time.
Samurai’s printing technique is super skilful! If you look closely you can see the level of detail is so crisp and the lettering features varying levels of tone making up for a marbled look.
