“The Beauty of Sakura!”

The design of this jacket takes inspiration from the vintage Levi’s Type 1 Denim Jacket and Lee Jeans’ G Type denim jacket. Samurai has combined both designs into a unique look!

Constructed from Samurai’s specially developed 18oz blue selvage ID “Indigo Sakura Plus” slubby denim whose weft is made up of Samurai’s self-farmed domestic cotton (a.k.a ‘Nippon Cotton’). The warp is thread-dyed first in grand indigo and then over-dyed more than ten times with natural indigo. The weft is sulphur-dyed using boiled Sakura juice, giving the denim a unique warm tone that becomes more pronounced with months of wear. With consistent wear and washing, you can expect the denim to develop a high-contrast fade with a rich, soulful character!

Design-wise, we also love the luxury silver-coated ‘Sakura’ iron buttons, triple-needle chain-stitching construction, and Japanese lightweight cotton twill-lined left chest pocket!
