Maru Sankaku Peke by SDA "Tsugihagi" Fish Tail Military Parka
More MSP magic!
This jacket is inspired by vintage military outerwear. Combining design elements from the iconic M65 and fishtail parka, MSP has created a new future classic!
The double-layered outer shell is constructed with a 100% cotton back satin fabric. This new deadstock fabric features a tight weave for extra durability with a slightly irregular texture thanks to the slow weaving process on vintage machines. With wear and washing, the olive thread-dyed colour will fade and age to a soulful vintage look!
Speaking of the details, this is where MSP shows their genius! The large teardrop-shaped handwarmer pockets are accentuated with some beautiful, intricate 'diamond' pattern stitchwork. This style is known as 'tsugihagi' and is a traditional Japanese method used to repair vintage kimonos and sashiko garments. Each patch is carefully applied by hand to achieve the overall pattern and contrast between patches! With drawstrings on the waist and hem, you can always get the perfect fit no matter what weather condition! Finally, large dark brown urea buttons on the sleeves complement the overall olive colourway for a tasteful look!
If you are looking for the perfect military-inspired parka, with amazing details inspired by traditional Japanese stitching techniques, the MSP 'Tsugihagi' Fish Tail Parka could be the perfect choice!
