This jacket is made from BONCOURA’s specially developed 1.3mm-thick horsehide. The ultra-thick rawhide is sourced from Europe, then treated with BONCOURA’s unique combined tanning process to achieve surprising softness, allowing the leather to break in after just one or two wears. The brown tea-core colour is unevenly dyed and the surface is hand-waxed by a skilled Japanese craftsman. This meticulous process creates a distinctive tea-core aging character. Over the first few years of wear, the leather deepens into a rich, dark brown with an increasingly refined sheen. As it matures into a dark chocolate tone, the natural tan base gradually emerges, developing into a classic brown tea-core patina.

The jacket features BONCOURA’s exclusive lightweight rayon/cotton lining, once used only in its top-tier tailored jackets. Hand-engraved brass snap buttons are oxidised to age beautifully, gradually revealing a deep, character-rich patina. The silhouette is based on BONCOURA’s Type 3 denim jacket, delivering a clean, slim, and elegant fit.
