This season, Warehouse have brought us their interpretation of 1930s high-neck football sweatshirts (which are considered to be the earliest cotton sweatshirts in history), providing this layering piece perfect for windy days or cold weather!
This sweatshirt is constructed with Warehouse Co.’s specially developed 10oz loopwheel knitted fabric. Slowly crafted on vintage loopwheel machines, the brushed interior of this fabric is as soft as cashmere against the skin. In time with wear and wash, the thread-dyed colour will age beautifully to a more vintage look.
Construction-wise, we love the ribbed high-neck, cuffs, and hem that will help this sweatshirt hold its shape better over years of wear. Further, Warehouse’s commitment to authentic twin-needle construction for the whole body of this piece accurately represents the original methods used in producing solid, vintage football sweatshirts.
