Warehouse Co. 13.5oz "Forty and Eight" U.S Army Denim Coverall (Indigo)
$462.00 AUD
You've got a train to catch!
Based on American military garb from WWI, Warehouse has brought us this stunning coverall jacket! Drawing inspiration from the boxcars that would ferry American soldiers around France during the war, these jackets combine railroad work gear and military history together in a way only Warehouse could pull off. The boxcars would often be emblazoned with "8/40", meaning they had a capacity of "8 Horses and 40 People". This 8/40 reference became iconic, and would eventually be taken up as a moniker by the American soldiers after the war finished.
An easy-to-wear piece, perfect for layering or lightly worn as an outer, the 8/40 Jacket is made from a 13.5oz left-hand twill selvedge denim in a lightweight. The denim is grand indigo-dyed weft and the warp is genuine indigo sulphur thread-dyed. It gives the denim a heather-indigo-coloured look and will age to a high-contrasted look with wear and wash!
Along with the contrast stitching that makes the whole piece pop, the jacket features a custom "Rite Price" internal tag, two patch-style pockets on the front, and lovely custom black Warehouse buttons down the front. Warehouse fuses the historical and modern for a historically informed piece that stands up all on its own!
