“Ivy Lecturer!”
This jacket takes its inspiration from the Ivy-style swing top jackets of the late 1960s. Sugar & Co. has refined the original design, creating a version with richer texture and character for modern-day enjoyment.
Constructed from Japanese medium-weight moleskin (known as "Baby-Chino"), this fabric is made from high-grade long-fibre cotton and is slowly woven on vintage machines (specially developed by Sugar & Co. ). The fabric features a fur-like texture and an exceptionally soft hand feel. The yarns are dyed before weaving, allowing the colour to develop character with wear and washing. Over time, the fabric will age beautifully to a more soulful appearance, while the texture becomes even softer, taking on a suede-like quality reminiscent of cowhide leather.
Design-wise, we love the hidden cinch collar design and elasticated hem, which allow you to wear different layers underneath this jacket in different seasons.
