“Back to Tradition!”
This 15oz “Denim Sashiko” is specially developed by Studio D'Artisan. Slowly crafted on vintage denim machines, the warp is thread-dyed in grand indigo and the weft is thread-dyed using traditional Japanese Kakishibu dyeing (also known as persimmon tannin dyeing), giving this “Denim Sashiko” a warm tone with rich brown hues, especially under sunlight. In time with wear, this fabric will age nicely to a high-contrast look, just like their raw denim.
Design-wise, this piece draws inspiration from vintage denim ranch jackets, reinterpreted with a refined modern twist for everyday wear.
