“Woven in Tradition, Stitched with Soul!”
Constructed with Samurai’s specially developed medium-weight “Sashiko Lattice” fabric, this piece is slowly woven on a vintage Sashiko loom, giving it a distinctive lattice pattern and beautifully uneven texture. The grand indigo yarns are dyed first, before being hand-overdyed with natural indigo by skilled Japanese artisans. Thanks to the natural indigo dyeing process, the fabric will age beautifully with wear and washing, developing a more vintage appearance with contrasting fades reminiscent of Samurai’s signature raw denim.
Design-wise, we love this early ’40s-inspired workshirt style, featuring a wider collar, urea buttons, and traditional “Three-Needle Chainstitch” construction!
