Samurai's latest batch of "Broken Lattice" natural indigo garments combine the beauty and skill of traditional Japanese indigo dyeing techniques with amazing fabric design and construction.
This shirt is constructed with Japanese medium-weight jacquard woven fabric, specially developed by Samurai. The multi-hued indigo colourway is created using a traditional natural indigo-dyeing technique called kasezome. Performed by Samurai's highly skilled craftsmen, this process involves dipping coils of undyed yarns into vats of natural indigo and letting them dry and oxidise to enhance the colour. This process is repeated multiple times to achieve the desired depth of colour. These yarns are slowly woven together using vintage jacquard machines to produce this amazing 'broken lattice' pattern, which has an amazing three-dimensional texture! With wear and washing, it will slowly age to a beautiful high-contrast look, with more hues of indigo appearing!
Construction-wise, this shirt features a combination of single-needle and chain stitching to ensure maximum durability! Natural mother-of-pearl buttons complement the natural indigo colourway nicely, while the twin open chest pockets provide storage for your daily items. The open-collar design makes this the ideal shirt for a relaxed, casual vibe!
