This latest modified Type 1 denim jacket combines elements from both the original Levi's Type 1 from the early 20th century, with detailing inspired by the Levi's Type 2 from the 1950s. Samurai has combined these styles expertly, in their signature 15oz "Otokogi" nep denim, for a jacket that is classic yet modern at the same time!
This jacket is constructed with 15oz silver lamé selvedge I.D denim. Slowly woven on vintage machines, this fabric features an irregular neppy textured surface with a scattered dotted look. Made using short and crispy cotton fibres from Texas and dyed using genuine indigo, this jacket will age beautifully with some strong sky-blue indigo contrast!
Speaking of details, this jacket features the classic Type 1 single chest pocket, as well as two internal pockets to keep your daily valuables secure! The slightly longer vertical length and the addition of hand-warmer pockets make this a modern and practical jacket for daily wear! The back waist adjuster buttons inspired by the Type 2 design, ensure you can always get the perfect fit!
