This heavyweight sashiko is slowly and loosely woven using vintage dobby knitting machines at a super slow pace, giving the fabric an incredible, irregular texture with a unique textured thread surface. The colours are yarn-dyed, using a combination of light and darker natural indigo hues to create the beautiful appearance of rain. With wear and washing, you can expect this to age with some high-contrast indigo fading!
Constructed with lightweight cotton twill lining on the cuffs, collar and placket - this shirt is built to a jacket-like standard. The sleeves feature double fabric panel sections for elbow protection. Gusseted side seams and chain-stitch run-off complete the workwear look, while indigo-dyed nut buttons add some subtle tonal contrast and will age gracefully with time!
