“Signature Slubby!”
This 14oz XX series denim from Pure Blue Japan is considered “Original Slub” before slubby denim had its own name. Slowly crafted on the vintage denim machine and specially developed by Pure Blue Japan in 1997, this denim has a unique uneven dotty texture in new condition. The cotton warp thread is rope-dyed with grand indigo; with wear and wash, this denim will age nicely to a high-contrast look, with a short vertical texture emerging with mild dotted fades.
Design-wise, we love the vegetable-tanned deerskin leather patch, and the iconic PBJ “Leaf” logo is embroidered on the left back pocket.
