“Super-Duper-Nep!”
This pair of denim is constructed with Omoto Denim’s specially developed 16oz pink colour selvage ID, ‘Super-Nep’ textured denim. This denim is blended with different types of short-fibre cotton and woven slowly on the 1950s Toyoda GL8 machine. This results in the 16oz denim having a very strong ‘Snowflake-type’ neppy texture, but not so stiff in hand-touch at all, with wear and wash, the ‘snowflake-type’ texture will disappear, and short vertical textures will come up little by little. To achieve Omoto's signature "Grand Indigo" tone, the yarns undergo a pure indigo rope-dyeing process repeated over 20 times. This intensive dyeing method creates a deep, rich indigo that will age beautifully, developing high-contrast fades and vibrant blue hues over time with wear.
Every detail has been designed with care: from the vegetable-tanned sheepskin leather patch and the distinctive white tab on the back pocket, to the soft-yet-durable herringbone twill inner pockets. Inside, a woven tag lets you record the start of your indigo journey—track the date you first wear them, along with every wash or soak. These small touches not only tell a story, they help you build one!
