This 10oz red selvage ID denim is woven from 100% long-staple Zimbabwe cotton, renowned for its exceptional softness and durability. Slowly and meticulously crafted on an extremely rare 1950s Sakamoto shuttle loom, it embodies the heritage of true vintage craftsmanship. The gentle weaving process produces a dense yet remarkably smooth fabric with a depth of character and texture that modern looms simply cannot replicate.
To achieve Omoto’s signature “Grand Indigo” tone, the yarns undergo a pure indigo rope-dyeing process repeated more than 10 times. This intensive dyeing technique creates a deep, lustrous indigo that will mature beautifully over time, developing vibrant blue hues and striking high-contrast fades with every wear.
Every detail has been designed with care: from the vegetable-tanned sheepskin leather patch and the distinctive white tab on the back pocket, to the soft-yet-durable herringbone twill inner pockets. Inside, a woven tag lets you record the start of your indigo journey—track the date you first wear them, along with every wash or soak. These small touches not only tell a story, but they help you build one!

NOTE: This pair of denim has been mildly soaked in Japan; however, they remain 3% of shrinkage with warm soak/washes:
- Warm Soak/Cold Machine Gentle Wash: 0.5" in the waist; 1" in the inseam.
- Warm Gentle Machine Wash: 0.75" in the waist; 1.25" in the inseam
