Lewis Leathers 15oz Indigo Denim (Relaxed Tapered Fit)

Size Guide

Lewi’ got more than Leathers…'Artisan meets Artisan’

LL’s have been collaborating with one of Japan’s most skilled artisans. In a one man studio who also helps many most famous Japanese brands to produce their highest-end denims, such as natural indigo dyed denims for Studio D’Artisan etc . these jeans are completely made by hand and as you’d expect, using vintage machines!

Specially made for our store, these have a more tapered leg opening, mid rise and come with a relaxed thigh section for comfort. With an overall relaxed tapered fit, these are a great choice for an elegant, modern style. And if you have a LL jacket, its safe to say these are a match made in heaven.

The 15oz denim has a subtle, un-even vertical texture which will age amazingly with time to a vintage look with plenty of light indigo lightning strikes.

As you may know, Lewis Leather’s make amazing linings for the jackets, and no doubt, they’ve do so with their jeans. Straight outta LL’s UK studio calf skin has been used to line in the inner front pockets for comfort. The leather patch is also from LL and is a beautiful thick, calfskin patch with gold embossed details! Look familiar?

Talking pocket bags? These use some of the most silky smooth cotton twills we’ve seen and come with a vintage machine embroided detail.

With the leather genius of the UK and denim craftsmanship of Japan, these are really something special!

How We Measure

Pants and Shorts

Waist:

With the major buttoned up (i.e. the top button) open the jeans and lay them flat, like shown. Measure from the front where the major button closes to the back belt loop. Double this measurement to find the waist measurement.

The way we measure the waist is different from the 'Side to Side' technique. If you are used to the 'side to side' technique you can roughly roughly downsize by 1 inch.

For example, 'side to side' measurement for The Flat Head 3002 waist is 28inch and using our method measures at 29.25inch.

Front Rise:

With the jeans lying flat measure from the crotch bar tack to the top of the waistband.

Back Rise:

Spread out the crotch so the bar tack is visible, then measure from the crotch to the top of the waistband.

Thigh:

One inch down from the crotch, measure flat across to the other side.

Inseam:

Flatten the leg and measure along the inseam from the crotch to the leg hem.

Leg Openning:

Measure straight across the hem from side to side.

Tops

Shoulder:

Lay flat then measure from the shoulder's edge to the other shoulder's edge.

Chest:

Lay shirt flat and measure from pit to pit.

Sleeve length:

With the sleeve flat measure from the shoulder to the cuff.

Arm hole openning:

Measure from the shoulder down to the pitt.

Vertical length:

With the shirt facing down, Measure from below the collar to the bottom hem.
