Cover up! Coverall!
Japan Blue gives us with yet another easy-to-wear staple piece; presenting the Japan Blue Coverall! Extending on the workwear legacy of the coverall jacket design, Japan Blue has covered this thing in front pockets. They've also adjusted the proportions of a classic coverall to make it a slightly narrower fit, for a modern neater look. Perfect, as they write, for pairing with a pair of Japan Blue jeans!
Made entirely in Japan from 100% cotton, this piece is made from a military back sateen fabric - this jacket is a hardwearing piece of kit! Military back sateen, often used in the construction of army pants, is a firm, yet supple fabric - easy to wear and very functional. Here Japan Blue has reversed the fabric (thus the 'back'), using the glossy side facing inner for an extra soft feeling against your skin.
The subdued sateen gives the piece a lovely light sheen which, with wear, will age gracefully across the garment.
This jacket is imbued with understated charm - shrug it on as a outer piece on a warmer day, or have it as your final layer when you're bundled up.
