Riders on the storm!
This season Iron Heart has brought us their take on the iconic Storm Rider denim jacket! First produced by Lee in the late 1940s, the storm rider jacket evolved from its humble workwear origins, to become a fashionable garment worn by movie stars and musicians in the decades since! Iron Heart has remade it to be even better than vintage!
The shell is constructed with Iron Heart's specially developed 18oz red selvedge I.D denim fabric. Slowly woven on vintage machines, this fabric has an incredibly slightly rough irregular texture! The yarns are genuine indigo thread-dyed. With wash and wear, this denim will age to a stunning high-contrast vintage look! IH has chosen a classic wool/cotton blend blanket lining with a soulful vintage-style colourway for warmth, while the quilted nylon sleeve lining provides next-level comfort and insulation!
Speaking of details, this jacket features the signature corduroy lining on the collar, 'zigzag' stitching on the central placket, pleated body construction and Lee-style chest pockets for that iconic look! This modified version comes with a slightly longer vertical length than the original version, with handwarmer pockets lined with corduroy for practical wear! The internal pocket provides even more storage space for your daily items.
