Inspired by early 1930s outdoor hunting trousers, Freewheelers has enhanced the materials and construction to create an elevated modern interpretation, blending vintage character with contemporary performance.
These trousers are constructed from Freewheelers’ specially developed medium-weight, high-density striped corduroy, slowly and tightly woven on vintage machines. Crafted from long-staple cotton rich in natural oils, the fabric is silky smooth to the touch. The cotton is thread-dyed, and the stripes are hand-discharge printed by skilled Japanese artisans, creating subtle depth and character. With wear, the corduroy develops a beautiful vintage patina, evolving gracefully over time.
From a design perspective, these trousers feature a cinch-back waist for easy adjustment and black-coated iron buttons for suspender attachment. Natural, ultra-large, hand-polished nut buttons add a touch of understated luxury. In terms of fit, they offer a high-rise waist and a loose, tapered silhouette, evoking the classic proportions of vintage 1930s outdoor trousers while remaining comfortable and wearable today.
