This season, Freewheelers has brought us this highly coveted denim coverall design. Featuring a lighter-ounce fabric that is comfortable straight away and suitable for all-season wear! Inspired by 1930s denim work coats, FW bring their keen attention to detail to design, using specially developed fabrics and immaculate construction!
This jacket is constructed from Japanese 9.5oz high-density selvage denim, specially developed by Freewheelers. Slowly woven on vintage denim looms, this denim has a subtly irregular texture with a neppy surface. The genuine indigo colourway has been yarn-dyed and will age to a beautiful sky-blue contrast with wear and washing, just like those vintage coveralls worn by workers of the past!
Speaking of construction, this jacket features a front placket fitted with large, hand-polished brass "Union Special" branded buttons that perfectly complement the deep indigo colourway. These buttons are also detachable—a thoughtful nod to early 20th-century railway workers, who would often replace the factory buttons with those bearing the insignia of their own railway company. For practicality, the jacket is equipped with two generously sized waist pockets and a single chest pocket with an integrated pen slot, providing ample storage for your everyday essentials.
