“Work to Survive!”

This season, Freewheelers has brought us this highly coveted denim coverall design. Featuring a lighter-ounce fabric that is comfortable straight away and suitable for all-season wear! Inspired by WWII steel, aircraft and military factory workers known as the “Steelbackers” AKA “backs of steel”, this work jacket is a tribute to the strength and contribution of these workers to the war effort. FW bring their keen attention to detail to this design, using specially developed fabrics and immaculate construction!

This jacket is constructed with 11.5oz high-density selvage denim fabric, specially developed by Freewheelers. Slowly woven on vintage denim looms, this fabric has a subtly irregular texture with a neppy surface. The grand indigo colourway has been yarn-dyed and will age to a high-contrast look with wear and washing, just like those vintage coveralls worn by workers of the ‘40s!

Speaking of construction, this jacket features a front placket with large hand-polished iron doughnut "Laurel leaf" buttons which complement the genuine indigo colourway nicely. This coat has a simple yet stylish design, featuring two large waist pockets, a branded “Union Special Overalls Co.” fabric patch and a relaxed open-collar design!

If you are looking for the ultimate WWII denim coverall made to the highest Japanese construction standards, don’t miss out on this classic one from Freewheelers!
