“Classic War-Time ‘47 Denim Jacket!”
Inspired by the 1947 Levi’s Type 1 denim jacket, Denime has re-created this classic design and elevated it into the ultimate version.
This jacket is crafted from Japanese 14.5oz white selvage XX denim specially developed by Kurabo Mills and Denime. The fabric uses long-fibre, light-brown American cotton blended with dark-brown tea cotton, and is slowly woven on vintage shuttle looms. The result is a denim that is silky-smooth to the touch with subtle uneven textures. The cotton is thread-dyed with pure indigo. With wear and washing, this jacket will gradually reveal bright indigo hues, ageing into a beautifully high-contrast look.
Design-wise, this piece is a faithful tribute to the ‘47 Type 1 jacket. It combines details reminiscent of pre-WWII Type 1 models: 5-button iron button placket, back pleats for improved movement, and a thick deerskin leather patch that will darken and patina to a soulful look!
