Taking inspiration from 1950s American long-sleeve sports tees, RAGGY CLOTHING makes its own enhanced version!
This 8oz loopwheel-knitted fabric is slowly woven on a vintage loopwheel machine, producing just 30 metres per day. This meticulous process gives the fabric its distinctive horizontal texture and exceptional character. Both the exterior and interior are brushed, resulting in a soft, fluffy feel reminiscent of a Japanese cream cake while maintaining a cashmere-like touch against the skin.
Construction-wise, we really appreciate the exceptionally high-quality ribbing used on the crew neck and cuffs, which gives these long-sleeve T-shirts a feel closer to that of a sweatshirt. The neckline is also finished using a rare twin-needle binding technique—something seldom seen among other brands—providing both enhanced durability and a clean, refined appearance. The hem and sleeves are secured with lock-stitch construction, helping the T-shirt maintain its shape and structural integrity even after years of wear.
