For decades, Dubble Works has been making some of Japan's most serious tees and sweats. This season, we have their latest version of their bestselling loopwheeled L/S tees using their newly developed 7.7oz “fallen cotton” fabric!
Using their vintage re-constructed 'Stand Wheeler' loopwheel machines in Japan, Dubble Works slowly knits their fabric for these midweight tees using a process that uses recycled cotton for an enhanced slubby texture! This process takes a whole day to make enough fabric to make 10~15 tees, and the result is unbelievable.
This indigo dyeing process is truly fascinating. The cotton thread is first dyed with grand indigo, and afterward, Japanese craftsmen apply a traditional natural indigo hand-dyeing technique to the finished garment. This double-dyeing method gives the indigo T-shirt a deeper, more soulful character. As you wear and wash it, the fabric will gradually develop a high-contrast fade with a rich, soulful patina.
With a triple-stitched, heavy ribbed collar and cuffs and a lock-stitched bottom hem, this is a tasteful minimal design for quality!
