Time-honoured Japanese craftsmanship!
SDA has brought us this ultra-comfortable loopwheeled sweatshirt combining traditional Japanese indigo and kakishibu (persimmon) dyeing techniques! With time, this will age to a totally unique look, unlike any other indigo fabrics!
This 100% cotton loopwheeled fabric has been slowly woven using vintage loopwheel knitting machines to produce a dense yet super comfortable fabric! The interior is brushed as soft as some finest cashmere, and will keep you cosy on cold days! This fabric has been dyed twice by highly skilled Japanese craftsmen. First, it is yarn-dyed with grand indigo before weaving. With wear and wash the indigo colour will age to a beautiful high-contrast look. Secondly, it is overdyed with kakishibu, a traditional Japanese dye derived from persimmons, which, when exposed to sunlight, will darken to a tasteful burnt orange-brown colour!
Construction-wise, ribbing fabric has been used for the crewneck, sleeve openings and hem to keep you comfortable and cosy and ensure you get the perfect fit!
