To celebrate its 45th anniversary since its founding in 1979, SDA has released these limited-run loopwheel tees utilising one of the oldest operating vintage Ishikawadai spinning machines!
This tee is constructed with 100% Texas cotton, heavyweight loopwheel fabric. Woven at an ultra-slow pace on the Ishikawadai's loopwheel machines, this fabric retains a beautiful uneven texture with a strong 'puckered' appearance, which is very similar to the textures of hand-spun cotton garments. The colour is thread-dyed, and with wear and wash, this texture will become even more enhanced with a soulful look; the colour will age nicely to a more contrasted look.
Construction-wise, this tee is crafted using vintage Union Special machines, renowned for their precision and durability. Flat-seam stitching is applied along the sides to enhance comfort and ensure the tee maintains its perfect shape—even after repeated wear.
