Takes its inspiration from a vintage late ‘50s Levi’s Type 2 denim jacket. RAGGY CLOTHING puts its own twist on them, making a unique pair for you to enjoy!
Constructed from RAGGY CLOTHING’s specially developed 14oz red-selvage mild-nep denim, woven from a unique blend of American and Australian cottons, and slowly crafted on vintage shuttle looms. This results in a denim with a smooth hand feel and a subtle neppy texture. Thanks to the mixed-cotton composition, the denim carries a warm, light-beige undertone that sets it apart from conventional indigo denim. The warp yarns are rope-dyed in grand indigo, allowing the fabric to develop striking high-contrast fades over time. As it ages, distinctive "Lightning Strike" fade patterns emerge, reminiscent of well-preserved deadstock vintage denim.
Design-wise, we love the Japanese lightweight indigo thread-dyed chambray used to line the pocket flaps. On the reverse side of each silver-coated brass button, the letter “R” is engraved, representing RAGGY itself while also paying tribute to vintage Levi’s denim jackets, which featured factory identification numbers stamped on the back of their buttons.
