Pure Blue Japan have graced us with more of their iconic raglan sleeve pullovers, and this time we made sure to bring you them in an indigo overdyed black colourway! Crafted from Japanese medium-weight fleece specially developed by Pure Blue Japan, this fabric is knitted on vintage machines and features both an irregular texture on the outer surface and a smooth, towel-like interior. To achieve this unique colourway, the yarn is first dyed with grand indigo, then overdyed with sulphur black. While appearing solid black when brand new, in time the blue hues will emerge beautifully, revealing many shades of indigo.
For a perfect fit, the waistband, sleeve hems, and underarms are constructed with stretchy ribbed fabric made on vintage jacquard knitting machines, providing next-level comfort and ease of movement while adding subtle tonal contrast. The hood can be adjusted for colder weather with polished buffalo buttons, adding a refined tonal contrast to the indigo fleece. As always, these pullovers feature Pure Blue Japan’s signature hand-embroidered indigo leaf on the side seam.
