This version is inspired by the winter uniform worn by the Civilian Conversation Corps during the Great Depression, with unique specifications executed flawlessly by Warehouse!
This jacket is constructed with 100% Melton wool, which is prized for its durability and water-wicking properties! Densely woven at an ultra-slow pace using vintage knitting machines, this fabric has a substantial felt-like texture that is resistant to abrasion! The olive green colourway is yarn-dyed and will age to a soulful look with wear!
Speaking of construction, this jacket features hand-polished ultra-large nut buttons in a tonally contrasting colour and lightweight herringbone twill lined flaps of pockets for extra durability. The collar and sleeves are finished with wool ribbing fabric which is comfortable against the skin and helps to keep you protected from the elements! The waistband is constructed with a stretchy knitted jacquard wool fabric for practical wear, in a light brown colour to complement the olive colourway! Finally, the front placket is reinforced with cotton twill using binding construction (usually you will see this binding construction in high-end tailored suits nowadays) for enhanced durability, again!
