“Yagasuri — Spirit of Arrow!”
This 10oz sashiko fabric is specially developed by Studio D’Artisan and slowly woven on a vintage jacquard knitting machine. In other words, this could be one of the most unique sashiko fabrics we have seen so far from Studio D’Artisan! The fabric itself has a mildly uneven texture and a towel-like hand feel. The grand indigo colour and the Yagasuri pattern (an ancient arrow motif) are thread-dyed. With wear and washing, it will age beautifully into a high-contrast look, just like SDA’s raw denim.
Design-wise, we love the naturally hand-polished nut buttons and the adjustable cuffs, which give this shirt more of a jacket-like vibe!
