Omoto Denim 8oz Indigo Dyed “Ichimatsu” Woven Denim Early Workshirt
$385.00 AUD
“Inspired by Traditional ‘Ichimatsu’ Pattern, Woven for the Future Look!”
This classic Ichimatsu check pattern traces its roots back to the mid-Edo period (circa 1750s), made famous by legendary Kabuki actor Sanogawa Ichimatsu, who popularized the design through his signature kimono style. Omoto Denim puts a fresh spin on this timeless motif—crafted especially for the hardcore Japanese denim fans!
This shirt is constructed with Omoto Denim’s specially developed 8oz high-density selvage denim, woven slowly and tightly on a vintage denim machine. The hand-touch is silky-smooth and comes with uneven ‘check’ textures underneath. The grand indigo tone is thread-dyed, and with wear and wash, it will age nicely to a high-contrast look just like its other selvage denim!
Design-wise, we also love the cinch-collar and extra ‘Bar-Tack’ stitchings on the pockets, tributed of the early 50s vintage workshirt. The lightweight herringbone twill lined placket and triple-needle chain-stitching construction will make sure this shirt will last over years of wear!
If you are after a unique, textured, woven denim shirt, this could be an ideal choice!
