Crafted from Omoto Denim’s exclusive 15.5oz 'Neo-Slub' selvage denim, this pair showcases a unique blend of texture and tone. The warp is made with long-staple American cotton, delivering a prominent vertical slub texture, while the weft uses short-fiber cotton to add a subtle neppy, “snowflake” effect. Woven on a 1950s Toyoda GL9 shuttle loom, the fabric develops an unmistakable tactile character only possible through slow, traditional weaving methods. To create the deep, signature “Grand Indigo” color, the yarns are rope-dyed with pure indigo over 20 times, resulting in a rich, saturated hue that promises dramatic fading and vibrant patina with wear.
Every detail has been designed with care: from the vegetable-tanned sheepskin leather patch and the distinctive white tab on the back pocket, to the soft-yet-durable herringbone twill inner pockets. Inside, a woven tag lets you record the start of your indigo journey—track the date you first wear them, along with every wash or soak.
