The rounded plate design is reminiscent of native Indian medallions and features a beautifully set, natural red garnet. The oval shape setting gives off glimmers of red light, it looks like it has a soul of its own and has incredible depth when gazed at.
Firstly, Yoshihara Nao creates the base shape using their hand-hammered ‘chisel’ effect. This is a seriously slow and demanding process! This is an extremely delicate and complex process that yields a unique, three-dimensional 'plate' look.
