Taking inspiration from early 50s jackets worn by motorcycle garage workers, Freewheelers have re-imagined this classic design and made it even better!
The jacket’s shell is constructed using Freewheelers’ specially developed 100% cotton 11oz duck canvas. This fabric is slowly woven on antique machines to achieve a classic, subtly uneven texture. The ‘Rude Black’ colour way is sulphur thread-dyed and will age nicely to a more vintage look with wear and washes. This jacket is lined with heavyweight cotton flannel featuring a cashmere-textured touch that will keep you cozy in windy weather.
Design-wise, this jacket is packed with exciting details. The collar is lined with classic eight-wale corduroy, while the waist features button-flap pockets alongside concealed hand-warmer pockets. An open pocket on the right side is perfect for storing items such as a pair of sunglasses, while the zipped chest pocket to the left side keeps small valuables secure and adds a refined touch. Adjustable cuffs and a flexible waistband make layering easy across different seasons. To finish, Freewheelers have showcased their signature vintage-inspired aesthetic through a skilfully oil screen-printed skull-and-crossbones graphic on the front, paired with a winged angel “RISING FROM HELL” motif on the back, providing the jacket with some distinct, old-school biker soul.
