However, in Japan, many different tanning methods are utilized to impart different qualities in the leather, including vegetable tanning, chrome tanning, oil tanning and salt tanning etc. Morishima-San, the boss and creative visionary of Boncoura believes that by using a combination of tanning methods, Boncoura can create luxury leather products that are sure to mature and develop into even more beautiful garments that you can wear and age for many decades!
The tanning process for this suede jacket uses a multi-method process. First, the leather is vegetable tanned then chrome-tanned, while the final step involves a secret process known only to the brand!
Premium rawhide leathers are selected and preserved with minimal dyeing to showcase the natural beauty and imperfections of the hide!
The final result combines an outer texture that resembles thick roughout leather, while the inner's texture looks and feels like premium deerskin!
For extra water resistance, a special water-proofing liquid is applied during the tanning process to reduce natural discolouration to the leather from water damage and general wear!
The fitting replicates Boncoura's denim type 3 denim, with an elegant slim-fitting silhouette!
