This rounded plate design is reminiscent of Native American medallions and features a beautifully set natural turquoise stone. The cabochon cut is elegant, exhibiting the gemstone’s natural veins and variations of colour. Turquoise is renowned for its protective properties and strong connection to nature — in time, this stone will gradually develop more sheen as the silver simultaneously darkens!
In creating this piece, Yoshihara Nao firstly hammers and then chisels the silver base pendant by hand, a seriously slow and demanding process! This delicate and laborious process ultimately yields a pendant that is entirely unique, possessing a one of a kind three-dimensional 'plate' appearance.
This pendant is perfect for attaching to an existing necklace set or starting a new, elegant set!
