The “Deadstock Blue” series represents the highest standard of production from Warehouse & Co. The 1000XX draws inspiration from late-1940s “war-mode” denim—garments that have long been discovered in vintage shops, preserved in unworn, deadstock condition. This model faithfully captures that rare balance between historical authenticity and pristine character.
Constructed from Warehouse & Co.’s specially developed 14oz “Salmon Pink” selvedge ID nep denim, this fabric is slowly woven on vintage shuttle looms, resulting in a subtle, textured nep character. The grand indigo is achieved through thread-dyeing at the yarn stage, allowing the denim to evolve beautifully over time. With wear and washing, it develops a rich, high-contrast fade, revealing layered hues of blue and a distinctive vintage character.
From a design perspective, this pair features a natural tan, ultra-thick deerskin leather patch, adding both character and durability. Details such as the chain-stitch run-offs pay homage to the “rush-hour production” methods of the wartime era, while the signature “Snake’s Eyes” arcuate stitching on the back pockets reinforces its vintage authenticity. The sulphur-faded red tab further completes the look, capturing the unmistakable “brand-new deadstock” aesthetic.
